School
Down to the last
Submitted by biga013 on December 6, 2010 - 5:26pmDown to the last week of being an undergrad (finally). Was done with classes on Saturday, now just have to get done with the test, and pass them. Now I'm kinda in the "Now What" stage again.
I've been studying for the LSAT but I'm not anywhere close to being ready for that. So I'm going to put it off for a little bit and get more comfortable. I can do the work, but put the clock on me and I'm dead right now. Gonna start studying for the GRE and GMAT also, just to keep options open on graduate school.
more for the nerds...
Submitted by biga013 on December 6, 2010 - 4:52pmOk, have you ever wanted to check out a course at MIT, Harvard or Berkeley? Or do you need a refresher from that calculus course from years ago. Well here is your chance. Came across this site some ware and it was book marked immediately.
The Economics section is just kick a$$, check out the game theory course.
More then half way done
Submitted by biga013 on October 19, 2010 - 3:42pmOk,
More than half way done with October and more than half way done with the semester. Still have a lot to do. Finish up the Law & Economics paper, must say that water rights and The Owens Valley War is pretty darned interesting. The Portfolio class is not as interesting as I wanted it to be, had a futures and options class from the same guy last semester, and I wish it was more like that one.
Case of Senior-ites
Submitted by biga013 on September 23, 2010 - 11:04amI've got a test this evening and man I've got a big case of senior-itis going on. How many ways can you rehash Future Value and Present Value formulas?
A scene from Ocean's Eleven keep popping into my head, the one with Danny and Rusty driving in a car and the dialog goes something to the effect of
- Rusty: God, I'm bored!
- Danny: You look bored.
- Rusty: I am bored!
Oh well you gotta do what you gotta do.
Economics and Open source
Submitted by biga013 on September 13, 2010 - 3:32pmWell here we are a couple or three weeks into the Fall semester, and I've been mulling over ideas for a research paper in my law and economics class, I've had a couple of ideas such as how the revocation of the DC and Chicago Handgun laws have might effect property laws, (which i think could be a good choice), but a discussion in my Saturday class (yes I said Saturday) about Joint Stock companies and Indentured Servitude got me to thinking. Having property rights is big driver of incentive for innovation.
Beginning of the End
Submitted by biga013 on August 23, 2010 - 2:26pmOk, August 23 2010, the beginning of the end for me, starting the last semester of my Economics degree, I hope. Still having issues on getting the Sat. class confirmed. Talked with Carson and he said he would get it taken care of, but still no joy at this point.
Done with class (for now)
Submitted by biga013 on July 1, 2010 - 11:38amHaa, done with class for a couple of days. Got the 4th of July weekend ahead and I'm going to the lake house. Gonna set out on the boat dock, fish and probably get sun burned. Then right back at it on Monday the 5th with one more class this summer.
No homework
Submitted by biga013 on June 26, 2010 - 10:34pmAhh a weekend with no home work and I have no idea what to do.
P/OM Class almost done
Submitted by biga013 on June 20, 2010 - 12:13amAhh, got all the tests done for my Production Operations Managment class done, just have to finish up the presentation, which I shold be working on instead of this. Fortunatly I'll I need to score and A in the class is 50 points, partner needs 78 points so have to put in a little more effort then I was wanting to.Out of my 6 classes that I have to take, I can graduate Magna Cume Loude if I can secure 5 A's and 1 B and should be able to lock up 3 of the As this summer.
